Marymoor Park is a great summer location for family photos if you want that country look. We shot a lot near the dog park and made use of the rustic fences and beautiful trees. We know Alyssa (the mom) because she is also an incredible wedding planner ! Check out Elle & James Co. to see her work. Her kids are so fun to capture, they have so much energy and the cutest smiles and are not shy at all. I basically just took them to spots with good light, gave slight direction and then observed and shot as they made silly faces, smiles for mom and then silly faces again lol.
I used a mix of film and digital for this session. Alyssa wanted yo go for that 90s catalogue look so I made the black and whites with old CK ads in mind haha. Marymoore Park is so huge and can look so different depending on where in the park you take your family photos. Also morning versus evening light totally changes the place.

Marymoor Park truly shines in the summer. Especially during golden hour when the light filters through the trees and creates that warm, nostalgic glow. Marymoor Park offers so much variety, which makes it easy to create a full gallery that feels diverse without ever leaving the park. From open fields to tucked-away wooded paths, every corner gives a slightly different mood. If you prefer beach locations for your summer photos check out Jackie & Matt’s Golden Garden family . Sessions like this are always a reminder that the best photos often come from letting kids be themselves. Running, laughing, and just enjoying the moment. Working with families like Alyssa’s makes it even more special. There’s such a natural trust and shared creative vision behind the scenes.
